Another exciting step in the Infoblox journey to SaaS!
Effective December 17th, 2021, Infoblox can now amend a customer's active contract mid-term, providing the ability to add new products or services.
This enhancement will eliminate the need for multiple contracts with varying end dates, aligning Infoblox to industry-standard SaaS selling motions and making it easier to buy, scale, and renew subscriptions, products, and licenses (a vital part of the Infoblox 3.0 strategy).
Infoblox can amend contracts only when the start date of the new product or service is known. If there is any uncertainty with the customer's start date and PO availability, it is recommended to leverage the existing process of creating a new contract.
Eliminating contract sprawl is not only the right thing to do for our partners and customers, but it also comes with numerous benefits that will make your life easier working with your Infoblox Sales teams, including:
- A More Agile Selling Process – the ability to modify contracts allows us to "land and expand" in our accounts without interrupting the renewals process.
- Automated Contact Management – automatically prorate and co-term new licenses to the same subscription end-date to align all licensing and streamline renewals.
- Ease of Quoting – track subscription license totals throughout the contract lifecycle and integrate with tier/volume licensing.
- Entitlement Simplicity – licensing and subscriptions no longer need to be spread across multiple contracts with different end dates.
- Ability to separate NIOS products at the time a contract renews.
