Dear Valued Partner,
Infoblox is confident about our planned path on extending our market leadership into the SaaS space. We have introduced our flagship SaaS platform, BloxOne, which delivers rich integrated networking and security services from the cloud. BloxOne Threat Defense and BloxOne DDI are pioneering services designed to provide cloud-native and cloud-managed secure, reliable connectivity for organizations embracing more digital technologies.
On our journey to Infoblox 3.0, we will become increasingly flexible in our processes and offer a more customer-centric approach to doing business. The pivot to subscription-based licensing and the introduction of the BloxOne SaaS platform provide an unprecedented range of hybrid solutions that enables our partners to thrive in this transforming industry.
We have several projects that will drive us towards our future as a high-growth SaaS company. We feel strongly that each project plays a critical role in our successful transition to Infoblox 3.0.
Support and Renewal Best Practice
In line with industry best practice, we are now upholding a 15% late renewal fee. As of February 15, we are no longer extending our Trinzic hardware and software maintenance, and on March 25th, customers must be on the latest version of NIOS to receive support.
Retiring of Perpetual Software
Effective June 1, 2021, to encourage the purchase of our Subscription and SaaS offerings, Infoblox will remove all perpetual software starting with the June 2021 price list. The only exception to this is perpetual SPLA SKUs, which will remain through the end of FY22, and Infoblox may renew existing maintenance agreements. All in-flight quotes approved before June 1, 2021, will be honored through August 29, 2021. Please review the FAQ document for more details.
Future Hardware Sourcing
We will allow customers more flexibility to standardize their hardware, vendors, tools, and maintenance plans. This transition follows industry best practices and enables partners to customize solutions to customer needs.
Effective as of March 15, 2021, we now include off-the-shelf hardware options on all of our quotes for BloxOne on-prem host installations as part of the existing BloxOne Hardware Appliance B105 Datasheet.
As communicated during our virtual partner summit, partners will remain Infoblox’s primary route to market as we transition to SaaS. We will keep our channel community informed and enabled as we progress together towards Infoblox 3.0!
